Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions
Where is the 14-digit reference number on my bill?
It is printed in the top-right area of your physical HAZECO electricity bill, labeled "Ref. No." or "Reference Number." It is 14 digits long and starts with your area code (e.g. 0419 for Abbottabad). You can also find it on your meter reading slip or any payment receipt.
Why does the bill summary appear on this page instead of opening a PDF?
This page fetches your bill data and displays a clean, readable summary directly here for convenience. You can still access the full official duplicate bill in PDF format by clicking the "View Full Bill (PDF)" button in the result section — it opens directly from PITC's official servers.
Is this service free? Is it official?
Yes, this service is completely free. This is an unofficial tool for consumer convenience. Bills are fetched from PITC's official server (bill.pitc.com.pk/hazecobill). No registration, no account, and no payment is required.
Can I pay my bill through this website?
No, this website only allows you to check and download your bill. For payment, use JazzCash, EasyPaisa, your bank's mobile app, NADRA e-Sahulat centers, or visit any bank branch with your printed bill.
My old reference number isn't working — what do I do?
If you were previously a PESCO customer in Hazara Division, your reference number may have been updated when HAZECO was formed in 2023. Contact the HAZECO helpline at 080-09400 or SMS your old reference number to 8118 to get your updated HAZECO reference number.
What does "PAID" or "UNPAID" mean on my bill?
"PAID" means your bill has been settled and payment has been recorded in HAZECO's system. "UNPAID" means payment is still due. Note that bank payments can take 24-72 hours to reflect in the system, so a recent payment may still show "UNPAID" temporarily.
